Much of what I’ve seen of Las Vegas has only been through movies, that is, until today.
I set out on a mission to photograph interesting bits & people from Las Vegas and offer up a unique perspective that you don’t see in the movies. Today, I photographed men and women (with permission) who live on the streets below the sparkle and dazzle of the strip.
Above are Jimmy, Ed, Meester & Lucy (dogs) and their portrait, I think, is more fascinating than the infamous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign I walked three hours to photograph. More photos of these four and other citizens of Las Vegas coming soon.

2 years ago, I was desperately searching for the perfect wedding photographer, when I met Amanda Robinson of Love Like This Photography. Her shooting style and gorgeous images were captivating and swept me away! Just a few months later, she and her assistant shot our wedding, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with our photos. Amanda was such a blessing to us and we are so thankful for the memories she captured on our wedding day.
To be invited into a home where a newborn is settling in is a precious thing, not to be taken lightly! I count it a great privilege to capture intimate moments of new lives unfolding surrounded by those who are crazy in love them.
We’ve been spending a lot of time with my sister and her family lately, and it’s been so lovely! We’ve shared many dinners together over the last few weeks, mostly in her kitchen. This sometimes means we prepare simpler meals because there are three kids to please. Continue reading
